As an HSE Inspector, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the implementation and adherence to stringent health and safety standards across our infrastructure and road works projects in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8 years of experience, a strong background in OSHAD, NEBOSH IGC or above certification, and ISO-45001 Lead Auditor qualification. Experience in the Abu Dhabi market and a consultant background are mandatory for this role.

Your new role, what's involved?

We are seeking a highly experienced Electromechanical Inspector to join our team in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will have over 7 years of recent experience working with construction consultants on utilities projects in Abu Dhabi. The Electromechanical Inspector will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring the quality and compliance of electromechanical installations on project sites.

Key Responsibilities:

Inspection and Quality Assurance:

Conduct regular inspections of electromechanical installations to ensure compliance with project specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements.

Verify that all materials and equipment used in electromechanical installations meet required quality standards.

Identify any defects or non-conformities and ensure corrective actions are implemented promptly.

Monitoring and Reporting:

Monitor the progress of electromechanical works and ensure they align with the project schedule.

Maintain detailed and accurate records of inspections, tests, and work progress.

Prepare and submit regular inspection reports to project managers and stakeholders.

Coordination and Communication:

Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure seamless integration of electromechanical systems with other project components.

Communicate any issues or concerns related to electromechanical works to relevant parties and provide recommendations for resolution.

Participate in project meetings to provide updates on electromechanical works and address any related issues.

Compliance and Safety:

Ensure all electromechanical works comply with local regulations, safety standards, and best practices.

Conduct safety inspections and audits to ensure safe working conditions on-site.

Promote a culture of safety and compliance among project teams and contractors.

Technical Support:

Provide technical support and guidance to project teams and contractors on electromechanical installations.

Assist in the review and approval of electromechanical designs, plans, and shop drawings.

Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in electromechanical engineering.

We'd love to hear from you if you have:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

A minimum of 7 years of recent experience as an Electromechanical Inspector with construction consultants on utilities projects in Abu Dhabi.

In-depth knowledge of electromechanical systems, standards, and regulations in Abu Dhabi.

Proven track record of successfully inspecting and ensuring quality in electromechanical installations.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.

Proficiency in relevant software and tools for inspection and reporting.

Certification in relevant fields (e.g., PMP, NEBOSH) is highly desirable.
