We'd like to meet you.What you will need to do:Assist in the preparation of quality documentation, including the Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and in the review of construction documents for compliance with project quality requirements related to Welding works.Monitor all phases and processes required for the effective completion of all related Welding works and in particular issues of design, procurement, construction and final handover of the related Welding works.Monitor the implementation of Method Statements, and Inspection & Test Plans related to Welding works, and ensure all necessary records are generated in a timely manner in their area of assigned responsibility.Manage the inspection and testing of Welding works in their area of assigned responsibilities, including monitoring the work of QC Inspectors under their authority.Monitor the closeout of punch lists established for incomplete related to Mechanical works.Monitor all measurement & testing instruments employed for Welding works, ensuring they are functional and calibrated.Witness, review and approve welder qualifications and WPS, PQR qualifications.Liaise and coordinate with 3rd Party Testing / Inspection Company as required related to Mechanical works.Conduct statistical analysis and evaluation of test data related to Welding works.Prepare, file, and maintain test/inspection records and any other quality records generated related to Welding works.Assist construction personnel to identify and resolve problems and potential or actual non-conformances related to Welding works.Advise the QC Manager of non-conformance occurrences and where necessary, raise a Non-conformance Report for non-compliant work, and monitor the closeout and effectiveness of the correction and corrective action undertaken.Assist the QC Manager in undertaking periodic audits, including those of sub-contractors and suppliers, particularly technical compliance audits in their field of specialization.Attend and witness all Client verification of work (inspection, test and the like) on site, and coordinate closeout of any and all outstanding issues related to Civil works.Assist in the preparation of final documents for certification as required.What you will need to have:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Metallurgy Engineering with a Master's Degree in Welding.At least 12 years of related experience (ADNOC experience will be an advantage).Professional certification in welding engineering (IWE, CWE).ASNT Level II in RT, UT, MT and PT.Knowledgeable in Welding Process, Welding Procedure Qualification in line with ASME SEC IX, AWS D1.1, API 1104, ISO 13847, SHELL DEP, ADNOC specifications. Familiar with Welding defect identification and root causes with control measures to prevent occurrence, hands-on welding training for implementation contractor and vendor welding teams, well versed in monitoring of welding repair data and welder performance. Shall be conversant with resolution of site welding issues including selection of welding consumable based on various material groupings.
