Roles and Responsibilities Thorough knowledge and understanding of the Electrical engineering design and analysis Thorough awareness of relevant international codes and standards Effective technical and practical skills and able to consistently deliver quality, accurate and timely work to WOOD and its clients Previous experience of performing Site Survey to collect electrical data required for design Experience in Assess Study, Concept Selection, Pre-FEED, FEED and Detail Engineering jobs Experience in Brownfield Jobs such as preparation of Modification scope of Work Experience to perform all associated electrical calculations such as equipment sizing (switchgears, Transformers, Generators), Cable sizing, Subsea Cable Sizing, UPS Sizing, Lighting and Earthing calculations Experience of preparing Electrical Control System I/O List Experience of preparing Material Purchase Specifications, Technical Bids Evaluation, Technical Clarifications, Scope of Works, Review of Vendor Offers Experience of the application of HAZOP, E-HAZOP, 3D Model and Constructability Review to Electrical design Experience with Electrical design for prefabricated/modular packaged equipment Experience in Power System modelling and study on ETAP for performing following studies: Short Circuit, Load, Flow, Motor Starting Experience of working on SPEL Software Ability to develop Electrical Specifications, Datasheets, Schedules, Layout Drawings, Electrical MTO Proficient in the use of Navisworks, Lighting calculation Software (Dialux etc.) and MS-office Good Oral and Communication skills Able to demonstrate team working skills Flexible with a can-do attitude Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline from recognized institution Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in oil & gas industry Professional Accreditation from recognized institute (preferable) Middle East Experience Desired Candidate Profile Design and Development: Create electrical system designs, including power distribution, control systems, and electronic devices. Analysis and Testing: Conduct simulations, tests, and evaluations to ensure systems meet specifications and safety standards. Project Management: Oversee projects from concept through completion, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and managing timelines and budgets. Documentation: Prepare detailed technical documentation, including specifications, schematics, and reports. Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues in electrical systems, providing solutions to improve performance and reliability. Compliance: Ensure that designs comply with industry standards and regulations, including safety and environmental considerations. Required Skills Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles, circuit theory, and system design. Software Proficiency: Familiarity with engineering design software (e.g., MATLAB, AutoCAD, PSpice) and simulation tools. Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data and troubleshoot complex electrical systems effectively. Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for collaborating with team members and presenting technical information. Project Management: Skills in planning and executing projects, including resource management and scheduling. Qualifications Educational Background: A degree in electrical engineering or a related field from an accredited institution. Experience: Entry-level positions may require internships or co-op experience, while more senior roles typically require 3-5 years of relevant experience. Licensure: A Professional Engineer (PE) license may be required for certain positions, particularly those involving public safety and compliance.
