Job ResponsibilitiesStreamline Advanced Process Control (APC) objectives with corporate goals and develop programs, best practices, and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to enhance APC and economic performance.Analyze data from various sources, including process variables, instrumentation, and control systems, to identify improvement opportunities.Develop inferential models (linear and non-linear) to enhance refinery operations, efficiency, and cost reduction.Implement APC strategies, conduct feasibility studies, and establish new business cases to optimize refinery operations and maximize desired product yields.Conduct pilots and evaluate new APC technologies such as Real-Time optimization, Machine Learning, and AI to contribute to yield improvement.Analyze chronic problems and debottleneck complex APC to enhance process operations and economic benefits.Provide subject matter expertise to operating facilities' Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering teams through consulting, awareness sessions, and participation in technical exchanges and conferences.Lead technical sessions such as design reviews, model reviews, and commissioning.Conduct periodic assessments and evaluations to gauge the performance and effectiveness of real-time optimization solutions.Collaborate closely with the optimization team (Real-Time optimization engineers, Simulation engineers, and automation engineers) to ensure optimization requirements are met.Lead pre-and post-performance baseline evaluations for APC technologies.Monitor economic benefit Key Performance Indicators and provide recommendations.Review standards and General Instructions on behalf of the GME departments and act as a leading Subject Matter Expert (SME).
