A Learning and Development Manager will act as a change catalyst for cultural and organizational transformation through the development of functional excellence among Team Members. What will I be doing? As a Learning and Development Manager, you serve as an integral component of the Human Resources function by supporting learning and development initiatives through Hilton's comprehensive training framework. Specifically, a Learning and Development Manager will perform the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Support departments in developing cutting-edge functional excellence and in developing leadership capabilities.
- Act as a change catalyst in the cultural and organizational transformation of the Hotel.
- Design, deliver, and evaluate all learning initiatives, ensuring growth and team capability development.
- Conduct training needs analysis to identify skill gaps and recommend learning solutions.
- Prepare annual training plans and training calendars for the hotel.
- Prepare and manage the Learning & Development budget.
- Support individual and team development, career development, and training and experience-based learning, collaborating with department heads to deliver training programs and other organizational and leadership development interventions.
- Interact with hotel leaders to identify skill gaps and recommend learning solutions, providing support to operational departments.
- Conduct the comprehensive onboarding process, ensuring a seamless transition for new hires.
- Provide coaching and support to managers in developing their teams.
- Work closely with HR to align training programs with performance management processes.
- Establish partnerships with hospitality schools to identify and attract top talent through structured internship programs.
- Thorough knowledge of modern learning and development tools and techniques.
- Excellent people management skills, strategic thinking, and problem-solving.
- Exceptional communication, presentation skills, and grooming.
- Demonstrated ability to develop interpersonal relationships.
- Committed to delivering a high level of customer service, both internally and externally.
- Resilient and flexible to business needs.
- Ability to influence at all levels.
- Proficiency, at an intermediate level, with computers and computer programs, including Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Education, or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a Learning & Development role, preferably in the luxury segment of hospitality.
- Proven expertise in delivering & executing Forbes standards.
