The General Counsel and Board Secretary is responsible for overseeing the legal function of the Group. More specifically, the General Counsel will be responsible for reviewing and approving all contracts, ensuring legal and regulatory risks are identified and mitigated, represent the Group in any dispute and manage and oversee external counsel. The General Counsel and Board Secretary is also responsible for Board secretarial responsibilities, organizing Board meetings, managing Board administrative requirements as well as tracking actions from Board meetings. Minimum Qualifications Bachelors of Laws degree and/ or master’s degree in law Active and current membership from a recognized legal association or regulatory body from a common law jurisdiction such as the UK and US Desired Qualifications

8 years of experience gained at a credible law firm with additional experience (minimum 4 years) subsequently gained in a reputable inhouse role.
Experience in the Middle East region will be preferred
Managing external legal resources and other professional advisers
Handling high value transactions
Prior experience in dealing with Government authorities and other related official establishments
