To lead the Business Banking team, supported by SRMs/RMs/ARMs, in order to grow the Asset & Liability book. Manage the existing as well as new portfolio. Supervise the preparation of the respective segment credit facility applications & proposals and coordinating facility approvals with the RCD. Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage BBU TWC team to build the Asset & Liability book, manage the existing as well as new portfolio.
  2. Ensure timely reviewing and submission of credit proposals to RCD.
  3. Screen the business prospects solicited by SRMs/RMs and identify profitable and bankable relationships.
  4. Supervise, review, and prepare credit proposals for bankable prospects and potential customers, as well as for annual renewal of credit facilities of existing Asset relationships.
  5. Restructure/revise already approved credit limits to enhance profitability and minimize risk.
  6. Conduct periodic visits to customer sites/warehouses/office/premises in accordance with business policy, in addition to any mentioned by risk.
  7. Address credit queries raised on proposals and follow up for approval of proposed facilities.
  8. Review reports such as exception reports, overdue reports, and asset/liability maturity reports, and follow up with relevant stakeholders to address shortfalls or take required actions accordingly.
  9. Follow up with SRMs/RMs to minimize exceptions to credit policy, processes, procedures, and documentation.
  10. Identify delinquent/problematic relationships and develop strategies to deal with such relationships.
  11. Conduct joint calls with SRMs/RMs where necessary.
  12. Assist the BBU Assets Head and team members to respond to audit observations prior to finalization of the audit report.
  13. Explore possibilities to improve the profitability and quality of the portfolio.
  14. Train, motivate, and promote the team to achieve targets while being approachable and accessible.
  15. Manage all team-related matters in consultation with BBU Assets Head.
  16. Monitor team performance through prompt and frequent meetings to scrutinize performance against targets.
  17. Track and deliver cross-sell targets set for SRMs/RMs.
  18. Ensure regular weeding out of high-risk businesses and non-performing customers.
