GEMS DUBAI AMERICAN ACADEMY Dubai, UAE Posted 2 months ago Unlimited We are seeking dynamic and enthusiastic Middle School Science Teachers to join our dedicated team from August 2025 . This is an exciting opportunity for an educator who is passionate about science education and is eager to contribute to the academic success of our students. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and interactive Science lessons to middle school students, following the school's curriculum and educational standards.
  • Develop and implement creative and effective teaching strategies to inspire a love for science and foster critical thinking skills.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive and supportive learning environment.
  • Ensure continuity in the delivery of curriculum content.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom culture that encourages curiosity and exploration.
  • Participate in parent-teacher conferences and maintain open communication with parents regarding student progress.

Skills

Successful candidates will need:
  • A Bachelor of Education degree, or an initial degree plus a relevant teaching qualification such as a PGCE, PGDE or equivalent specialism in Science (Biology, Chemistry or Physics).
  • Proven experience teaching Science at middle school level, preferably within an American/IB curriculum school.
  • Strong knowledge of inquiry-based learning and hands-on Science education.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with students, parents and colleagues.
  • A strong desire to continually improve their practice and deliver outstanding teaching and learning experiences for their students.
