We are seeking a dedicated HSE Engineer to join our Project Management Consultancy (PMC) team for a transportation project entering the Design & Build (D&B) phase. The selected candidate will work under the HSE Manager and be responsible for ensuring the D&B contractor's compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards and regulations. Roles and Responsibilities

Assist in the development and implementation of the HSE strategy, policies, and procedures for the project.
Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
Review and approve the contractor's HSE plans, risk assessments, and method statements.
Monitor and ensure the D&B contractor's compliance with HSE standards, regulations, and project-specific requirements.
Provide HSE guidance and support to the project team, contractors, and stakeholders.
Participate in incident investigations and ensure root causes are identified and corrective actions are implemented.
Prepare and present HSE reports, including statistics, trends, and recommendations for improvement.
Coordinate and conduct HSE training and awareness programs for project personnel and contractors.
Liaise with regulatory authorities and ensure all necessary permits and approvals are obtained and maintained.
Promote a positive HSE culture and ensure continuous improvement in HSE performance.
Participate in project meetings and provide updates on HSE matters.

Qualifications and Educational Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Professional certification in HSE (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, CSP) is highly desirable.

Knowledge and Experience

Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in HSE management, with a focus on large infrastructure projects.
Proven experience in a PMC environment, acting as a client representative.
In-depth knowledge of HSE regulations, standards, and best practices.
Experience in conducting HSE audits, inspections, and incident investigations.
Strong understanding of risk assessment and management principles.
Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team and manage multiple stakeholders.

Preferred Skills

Experience in the rail or metro industry.
Familiarity with project management principles and practices.
Proficiency in using HSE management software and tools.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to influence and drive a positive HSE culture.
