Job Description: Site Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the installation, commissioning, testing, and maintenance of control systems on-site for Dubai Metro projects. This role will involve working closely with the team lead engineer and teams to ensure that every assigned task is performed with the required specifications, safety standards, and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities:

  1. Execution of Preventive maintenance.
  2. Execution of on-call Corrective Maintenance.
  3. Execution of assigned tasks, e.g., task evaluation and execution.
  4. Reporting of PM, CM, and other assigned tasks.
  5. Execute and supervise preventive maintenance on the existing installation of control system equipment (PLC, DDC, and Field devices, etc.) on-site.
  6. Ensure that each PM task is carried out according to MPT.
  7. Perform hands-on commissioning of control systems, including troubleshooting and debugging.
  8. Conduct thorough testing of control systems and components, ensuring functionality meets existing logic.
  9. Perform calibration of instruments, control panels, and related devices.
  10. Document test results and generate reports for approval.
  11. Provide troubleshooting and diagnostic support for control system faults.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
  1. Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
  2. Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in control systems engineering or related fields, with experience in site execution and troubleshooting.
Technical Skills:
  1. Strong knowledge of Rockwell control systems (PLC) and instrumentation.
  2. Knowledge of Siemens control systems (DDC, Desigo) and instrumentation.
  3. Knowledge of Honeywell control systems (DDC) and instrumentation.
  4. Familiarity with industrial protocols (e.g., Modbus, BacNet, Profibus, Lon, Control Net, Ethernet/IP).
  5. Experience with process control and automation systems.
  6. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  7. Strong understanding of electrical and control system drawings.
  8. Proficient in using testing and calibration tools and software.
  9. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  10. Ability to work under pressure.
Desirable Skills:
  1. Experience with software tools like AutoCAD or control programming languages (e.g., Ladder Logic, Structured Text, FBD).
  2. Certification in control systems, automation, or related technical fields.
Physical Demands:
  1. Ability to work in various environmental conditions (indoor and outdoor).
