Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide technical troubleshooting and assistance to maintenance staff for resolving power system-related issues.
  2. Conduct design reviews and provide comments for capital projects throughout the project cycle, including:
    1. Design basis scoping paper
    2. Project proposals
    3. Detailed design packages
  3. Perform site activities such as:
    1. Field engineering
    2. Pre-commissioning support
    3. Commissioning
    4. Startup
  4. Offer technical support for all field power systems at EWPD facilities and maintain ETAP models for all plants.
  5. Prepare conceptual design packages and engineering budgetary cost estimates.
  6. Develop and review power system designs for new projects and extensions to existing systems.
  7. Review installation, site commissioning, and factory acceptance testing for:
    1. Low and high voltage transformers
    2. Switchgear
    3. Circuit breakers
    4. Control gear
  8. Analyze components, design parameters, installation, operation, and maintenance requirements of:
    1. UPS
    2. DC systems
    3. Battery systems
  9. Advise on calculation study results and lead implementation of recommendations, optimizing conceptual power system design based on system studies.
  10. Resolve issues with power monitoring system (PMS) software.
  11. Provide project specifications and demonstrate operations and maintenance.
