Reports to : Workshop Supervisor Role Requirements : To machine parts as per drawings/ Routing Instructions Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Adhere to the Howco Group H&S Environmental and Quality policies
  2. Set & Operate Boring/Hon Machine to produce components as per drawing/routing instructions
  3. Interpret engineering drawings to customer specifications
  4. Create program as per drawing/routing instructions
  5. 100% inspection of produced parts
  6. Participate in problem resolution activities to achieve process & efficiency improvements
  7. Handle material (raw & machined) in a safe and effective manner as per the HSE requirements
  8. Ensure that housekeeping standards are maintained in accordance with Company requirements
  9. Perform General Tasks if and when required
Competencies
  1. Awareness of Howco HSE Policy, Conscious on related Policies
  2. Boring/Honing machine operating knowledge
  3. Tooling knowledge
  4. Adopting drawing attributes
  5. Knowledge of Engineering drawing & symbols
  6. Geometric dimensions & Tolerances
  7. Knowledge on boring machine programming and functions
  8. Knowledge of measuring instruments
  9. Knowledge on lean manufacturing technology
  10. Knowledge in material handling, crane & forklift
  11. Willingness to accept ownership of housekeeping standards
  12. Flexible

  1. Zero safety, environmental or quality incidents
  2. To meet the production targets
  3. Production efficiency and quality products
  4. Efficiency of machine parts and reduce cycle time and NCRs
  5. To produce quality parts
  6. Reduction of production cost
  7. Prevention of unnecessary downtime
  8. Zero safety, environmental incidents
  9. Visual communication
  10. Production efficiency
  11. Smooth operation
Job Requirements / Qualifications
  1. Awareness of HSE, Existence and Key points
  2. Min 3 year experience in setting & operating Boring/Honing machine
  3. High school/trade certificate qualification and working knowledge of measuring instruments
  4. Previous experience in improvement activities
  5. Similar experience in material handling, crane and forklift
