Key Accountabilities
- Lead the design and development of advanced test equipment for various applications.
- Identify and specify prototype test equipment (both in laboratory and field).
- Ensure that designs meet performance, reliability, and safety standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define equipment requirements.
- Provide guidance to technical design teams regarding evaluation, testing practices, methods, and facilities.
- Drive innovation in test equipment design and development processes.
- Mentor and train junior technical personnel.
- Develop acceptance test procedures and qualification test procedures.
- Implement quality assurance processes to ensure test equipment meets quality standards.
- Provide training and technical support to internal teams and end-users on the use of test equipment.
- Identify potential risks associated with test equipment operations.
- Familiarity with microcontroller architecture and programming.
- Develop comprehensive test plans and oversee testing activities.
- Analyze test data to improve equipment performance.
- Prepare technical reports for stakeholders.
- Ensure timely delivery of high-quality materials.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements.
Knowledge/Qualification & Experience
- Minimum of 15 years experience in the electronic hardware engineering domain.
- Technical degree in Electrical or Electronics.
- Test Equipment Design and Development.
- System/subsystem/facility technical documentation.
- LabVIEW, TestStand, C and C++ coding, HIL, Python, MATLAB.
- Communication Protocol expertise in SPI, CAN, Modbus, I2C, UART, etc.
- Expertise in Sensors and instrumentation.
