Dubai, United Arab Emirates | Posted on 08/17/2023 Responsible for the daily execution of the tendering process, reviews and analysis of company risks associated with each tender, accountable for the collation and submission of the tender proposals in accordance with client Invitation to Tender (ITT) requirements. Should be able to analyze the Steel Structure drawings in Steel Fabrication. Responsibilities include:

  1. Check the quantities from the CAD drawings.
  2. Finalize subcontractors and material suppliers for Steel Structure drawings in Steel Fabrication.
  3. Coordinate with the Design, Estimation team & Project team for multiple projects at the same time.
  4. Kick start project on receipt of the permit as per BOQ, Budget & Drawings at the right time as per the Company approved payment terms.
  5. Liaise with Project Coordinators/Planning Engineers/Site Engineers/Stores for materials and equipment on a daily basis.
  6. Obtain quotations for materials & machines from different vendors.
  7. Negotiate terms with vendors and engage them for long-term mutually beneficial business relationships.
  8. Coordinate with vendors for timely delivery of materials/goods.
  9. Confirm Purchase orders, generate LPO & liaise with Finance for clearing funds.
  10. Obtain feedback from stores on receipt & quality of materials/equipment.
  11. Mobilize & de-mobilize sites.
  12. Assist Construction Manager in monitoring operational costs, preparing statistics & budget variations.
  13. Track site material consumption and demand planning for each category.
  14. Enter and monitor data in the computerized system.
  15. Arrange materials for inspection & certification purposes.
  16. Manage supplier files/records.
  17. Conduct regular market research and vendor ratings.
  18. Prepare weekly/monthly/yearly reports and send to all concerned parties.
  19. Other responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time.
Should be well-versed with materials related to interior turnkey works such as building materials, Steel Fabrication, and special items as required. Have a strong and recent database of suppliers and subcontractors to source materials/works for Steel Fabrication. Responsibilities also include:
  1. Negotiate and administer local purchases, hired skilled workers, and subcontract works.
  2. Manage stock and materials.
  3. Ensure all invoices/bills of contractors and suppliers are pre-approved by the cost control and immediate reporting manager.
  4. Work closely with design and project teams to arrange materials for sample board presentations.
  5. Assist the estimations team for product pricing as and when required.
  6. Ensure all purchases are done subsequent to an order confirmation related to the project, and as instructed.
  7. Ensure timely and accurate systems are followed to avoid any lag in project execution.

Requirements

Qualification: Bachelor’s of Engineering / Master of Engineering / Diploma Desired Professional Exposure or Experience: 3 to 5 years in steel Fabrication; Exposure in steel fabrication. #J-18808-Ljbffr
