Job Title: Senior Android DeveloperLocation: Fully RemoteSalary: Up to 60,000 USD per year (or local currency equivalent), full-time contractor contractCompany Overview:Storyteller is a high-growth B2B SaaS platform that allows companies to integrate Stories into their owned and operated platforms. We work with globally recognized clients, particularly within sports.Job Summary:We are looking for an amazing Senior Android Developer to join our growing team and help push our product to the next 100 million users. This role offers a fast-paced, dynamic environment with opportunities for change, responsibility, and innovation.Responsibilities:• Improve internal technical practices and processes, including identifying relevant new technologies.• Lead projects from conception to completion.• Understand business objectives and fulfill them.• Set an example for code quality in the company.• Execute tasks proactively with no brief.• Collaborate with other team leads for company-wide cohesion and efficiency.• Provide technical guidance to less experienced developers.• Liaise with project management colleagues when technical input is required.• Learn and improve our DevOps processes and tools for rapid delivery.• Eliminate technical debt and fix software defects while sharing learned lessons.• Help define the technical architecture for products.• Contribute to our SDK by producing reusable software.• Eventually, take responsibility for the output of a development team, including quality through mentoring and recruiting.Qualifications:• At least 5 years of experience in Android development using Kotlin.• Experience with Dagger2 / DI frameworks, Compose, and XML Views.• Familiarity with ViewModels, Coroutines, Flows, and modern Android architectures (MVVM, MVI).• Experience with Git, Gradle, and Unit Testing frameworks.• Good practical knowledge of English (spoken and written).• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.• Strong communication and teamwork skills.Nice to have:• Experience in iOS development and creating/maintaining SDKs.• Self-published apps on Google Play and a University Degree in Computer Science (or related discipline).• Experience with Continuous Integration / Deployment and Open-Source contributions.Your Working Environment:• Modern Tech Stack: We use the latest tools and methodologies.• Agility & Openness for Ideas: We encourage team members to share ideas and implement suggestions.• Outstanding People: Join a small, passionate team of around 40 people.• Flexibility: Enjoy remote-first work with flexible hours starting between 8am and 11am.Recruitment Process:• 30-minute pre-interview via MS Teams discussing your experience and motivation.• Technical interview lasting 60 minutes.
