Job details

Responsibilities

Assist patients with hygiene activities such as toileting, bathing, brushing teeth, changing clothes.
Support patients with their meals by feeding them.
Regularly wash clean.
Monitor vital signs and report associated symptoms to a registered nurse.
Provide and clean bed linen.
Assist patients with mobility problems to move.
Transport patients through wheelchair or stretcher for remedy or surgery.
Carry messages, reports, requisitions and specimens among departments.
Maintain stock of supplies.
May carry out preservation duties which include helping with the set-up and preservation of traction equipment, cleansing or sterilizing equipment, keeping and repairing equipment, and assembling, setting-up and working job-associated equipment.
May transport patients among care facilities.
Take patients' blood pressure, temperature and pulse.
Accompany patients on outdoor leisure activities and carry out different responsibilities associated with patient care and comfort.
Organize and suggest activities with patients and accompany them.
Monitor exercises performed by the patient.
Prepare and transport patients undergoing treatment and surgery.
Distribute messages, reports, requests, and templates from one department to another.
Make the bed and keep the room clean.
Maintain inventory of materials.
Install, maintain, wash, disinfect and repair equipment.
Transport patients from one medical facility to another as required.

Requirements

Valid nursing license.
First experience as a nurse's assistant.
Completed maternal assistant training.
Kindness.
Great relationship qualities.
Able to work long shifts.
Ability to lift and move the patient.
Must have good communication skills and a desire to help others.
Patience and the ability to handle stressful situations may be required.
Must be an effective communicator and a good problem solver.
Must be efficient and precise, yet sensitive to the needs of your customers.

Benefits

Term of Employment: Full time Permanent 40 hours per week Flexible Hours Required Years of Experience: 1 year to 2 years in experience Nurse Aides, Orderlies and Patient Service Associates or in related field. Salary: $23.00 - $24.80 per hour #J-18808-Ljbffr
