Job details

Checking and reviewing and preparing structural design & structural calculations and drawings for different tender buildings.Prepare and update project schedule based on the contract.Study and cost bids, prepare indirect costs and cost estimates during tenders, and make breakdowns for different structural items.Assist in performing and checking quantity surveying works and materials take-off to ensure accuracy of quantities in the Bill of Quantity (BOQ).Review contract documents and advise the Project Manager on technical matters affecting construction and time costs.Prepare and implement a drawing management system (design, shop, coordination, As-Built drawings).Prepare bar bending schedules and study to reduce waste.Follow up on the time schedule agreed for the design development and shop drawings with subcontractors.Assist in preparing Method Statements and Procedures related to construction and provide technical features for the aspects of work.Ensure, in coordination with Office & Site Engineers, that execution of works is to the required coordination and quality and resolve all technical problems for all trades if any.Assist the Project Manager in managing subcontractor works and point out any technical deviations.Prepare and follow up on technical queries with the Client/Consultants.Perform other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time.Minimum Requirements:University degree in Engineering.3-7 years relevant work experience in a similar position.Computer literate with excellent negotiation and communication skills.Experience in AutoCAD and Design (SAP, ETABS, SAFE, etc.) and project management programs (Primavera or MS Projects).
