The RoleThe Health and Safety Officer is responsible for ensuring the health and safety of employees, residents, and visitors by developing and implementing policies, procedures, and programs.Key Responsibilities Conduct regular risk assessments and inspections to identify potential hazards, evaluate risks, and recommend appropriate preventive measures. Create and implement comprehensive health and safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe and healthy work environment. Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on safety protocols, emergency procedures, and best practices. Investigate workplace incidents, accidents, and near misses to identify root causes and develop corrective actions. Maintain accurate incident records and statistics and provide reports to management on areas for improvement. Ensuring compliance with health and safety laws and regulations Maintaining health and safety records Developing and implementing emergency response plans Advising management on health and safety matters Conducting safety audits and making recommendations for improvement Staying current with changes in health and safety legislation. Implement, manage, and report on health and safety management systemForce for Good Actively promote and implement ESG initiatives across the compound and drive the adoption of policies and procedures and ensure these are adhered consistently across the compound. Ensure that the sustainability ESG agenda is fully embraced. Actively drive initiatives set by the Facilities and Senior Property Manager Be abreast of any new initiatives, which could improve ESG performance across the compound. Work with the Savills site team to assist in the planning and smooth delivery of events and community programs across the compoundSkills, Knowledge and Experience Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, environmental science, or a related field (or equivalent experience) Experienced in property health and safety in a residential asset
