Interventional Cardiologist Consultant. Urgent requirement - Shortlisting in process for interviews.Employer Requirements: International candidates who are not currently working in Qatar. Experience after Specialist qualification, working in a government or semi-government institution/hospital OR working in teaching/training/university hospital.Total Monthly Salary: Estimated QAR 40,000 to 55,000. GMR does not charge you (the applicant) any recruitment fees as we are paid by the Medical Group for our placement services.Package:OVERSEAS FAMILY CONTRACT: CONSULTANT PHYSICIANBasic Salary: The offered amount is at the discretion of the employer. Market Allowance: % of basic salary. Monthly Professional Allowance: % of basic salary. Transport Allowance: 1250 QAR per month. Mobile Allowance: 300 QAR per month. Accommodation: Provided. Annual Leave: 50 calendar days per year. Schooling Assistance: 21,000 QAR (maximum) (up to 3 children) per child per academic year (ages from 5-18 years and provided that they are studying in private schools in Doha). Payment will be made upon submission of the appropriate receipts and will cover basic tuition fee only (provided that you obtained residence permit for them under your sponsorship). Air Passage Entitlement: Business class air passage/flight ticket for self and family - up to 3 children up to 18 years old, on joining, annual leave & repatriation (provided that he/she obtained residence permit for them under his/her sponsorship). Baggage Allowance: Unaccompanied baggage for yourself - up to 50 kg and family up to 200 kg on joining, and 100 kg for self and 250 kg for family on repatriation, to be reimbursed at standard rate. Conference entitlement: Yearly Conference (after completion of 18 months in service maximum of 9 days, with free business class round-trip ticket.The benefits outlined here are those that apply to most employees. Salary offer packages are determined by the employer. Global Medical Recruiting can assist the applicant with salary offer negotiations with the employer, but in the end the final salary package offered is at the sole discretion of the employer and not of Global Medical Recruiting.Minimum Requirements:Important Note: Physicians - To be eligible for licensing registration in Qatar it is required that some of your past clinical experience or current clinical experience must be from a government institution/hospital or training hospitals.ESSENTIAL EDUCATION:One of the following Specialty qualifications (Category 1): Australia: Membership/Fellowship of the Royal College of Australia. Canada: RCPSC or CFPC. Denmark: Title of Specialist. Finland: Erikoislääkarin tutkinto/ Special läkarexamen. France: CES or DESC or DIS. Germany: Fachärztliche Anerkennung/ Fachärztliche Urkunde. Ireland: Membership/Fellowship of the Royal Colleges and CSCST from Ireland. Italy: A Diploma di (medico) specialista. Kuwait: Arab board for medical specialties and Certificate of completion of residency program from teaching institutions in Kuwait or Board Certification by the Kuwait Board. New Zealand: Fellowship of the Royal College. Oman: Arab board for medical specialties and Certificate of completion of residency program from teaching institutions in Oman or Omani Board. Saudi-Arabia: Arab Board in KSA or Saudi Board. Singapore: JCST and Certificate of Specialist Accreditation. Switzerland: Diplôme de médecin spécialiste/Diplom als Facharzt/ Diploma di medico specialista (specialist qualification) or Master of Advanced Studies of Clinical Medicine. Sweden: Title of Specialist. UAE: Arab Board in UAE. UK: Membership/Fellowship of the Royal Colleges + CCST/ CCT/ CESR in UK. USA: ABMS - American Board.MEDICAL LICENSE: You must have a valid primary license from the country of origin AND you should be eligible for license from the licensing authority in the State of Qatar to practice as a Consultant Physician.LANGUAGE SKILLS: Fluent in English.SpecificationPOSITION SUMMARY: The Consultant is a senior doctor who practices in a specific specialty and has oversight responsibility for his team of junior doctors and manages other team members. The Consultant should be able to take a comprehensive view of the care pathway. The Consultant accepts ultimate responsibility for the care of all patients admitted under his name. The Consultant is capable of independently providing high-quality patient care (diagnose, treat, manage and admit patients under his name) as delineated by his clinical privileges. Ability to relate well to others and use interpersonal skills to achieve desired objectives, recognizing the need to represent both the clinical work and the team. The Consultant actively contributes to the teaching and training of students and junior doctors, and to the development of his specialty through leadership, academe and research. Research is a key and integral component to the Corporation's Strategic aim to become an Academic Health System.
