Our client, a leading global advisory firm, is in search of a visionary leader to step into the role of Managing Director within their Strategy and Communications team. Based in Riyadh and overseeing the MENA region, this pivotal position aligns with the firm's commitment to delivering excellence in strategic advisory services across a wide range of functions. Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership: Provide visionary leadership, shaping the overall direction of the Strategy and Communications team, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and industry trends. Client Relationship Management: Foster and strengthen relationships with high-profile corporate clients and government entities, serving as a trusted advisor and driving the strategic agenda. Business Development: Collaborate with senior leadership to identify, pursue, and capitalize on strategic business growth opportunities, leveraging the firm's extensive network. Thought Leadership: Establish yourself as a subject matter expert, both internally and externally, contributing to the firm's reputation and influence in the industry. Team Empowerment: Lead and mentor a team of professionals, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment while ensuring the delivery of high-quality advisory services. Global Network Development: Cultivate and expand the firm's global network, facilitating cross-office collaboration and sharing of best practices. External Stakeholder Engagement: Develop and nurture relationships with external stakeholders, including media, industry professionals, and members of the investment community. Risk Management: Oversee the monitoring and synthesis of industry intelligence, managing potential risks and ensuring the firm remains at the forefront of industry developments. Requirements: Educational Background: Bachelor's degree, ideally in journalism, mass communication, political science, public policy, or economics. A postgraduate degree is advantageous. Experience: Proven track record with 10+ years of senior leadership experience in business media, public relations, or public policy, demonstrating strategic thinking and business acumen. Language Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in both English and Arabic. Digital Proficiency: Familiarity with social media platform management is a distinct advantage. Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint and Excel. International Exposure: International experience, whether through study or work, is highly valued. Leadership Attributes: Confidence, maturity, and professionalism are essential, coupled with a strategic mindset, an entrepreneurial spirit, and a strong commitment to collaborative leadership. Work Ethic: Display a strong work ethic, maintain high standards, and exhibit unwavering commitment to the role.
