Job Description:Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented HSE Engineer to join our team!POSITION OVERVIEW:Reporting to the Project HSE Manager/Snr HSE Manager, the HSE Engineer's primary objective will be to promote a safe, secure working environment that is in line with SAPL and Client policy and procedures. To liaise with Project and Construction Managers and support the correction of any safety deficiencies likely to be hazardous to project personnel.The suitable person should have good interpersonal skills, the ability to cope with challenging situations and be willing and capable of undertaking assigned tasks below on their own, or with little supervision as required.SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES Be able to collate, analyze and submit for review, CSC and Contractor data in a timely and accurate mannerGenerating the required daily, weekly and Monthly Reports / Statistics on behalf of clientTo always lead by example by demonstrating safe personal behavior and represent the organization on the project site for and HSE related mattersEnsuring that Supervisory Consultant and Contractor key deliverables are prepared, reviewed, approved and implemented as necessary.Follow up with CSC HSE Managers/Engineers and Contractors HSE Managers for pending closeout actions of SOR, Abnormal Events, Audits & Compliance inspectionsConduct Monthly office assessments (office inspection & Office Risk assessment)Conduct HSE Assurance activities, including, but not limited to:Inspections, including verification of close-out by ContractorsDocument reviewsSupport Audits as requiredOrganize, attend HSE Contractors meetings, presentation and prepare minutes of the meetingArrange and deliver HSE orientation for new employees and visitorsConduct or support HSE awareness training for Parsons, CSC's, Contractor and Client as requiredSupport incident investigations as requiredReview information on first aid cases, near misses, injuries, damages and losses and review overall HSE performance during project executionLiaise with client representatives as required on all HSE matters in a professional and responsible mannerBe flexible in working schedules to ensure adequate HSE cover during shift and weekend workingPREFERRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCEDegree in Engineering from an accredited university or equivalentMinimum of 5 years' experience, with at least 2 in a similar roleExperience in the Middle East, KSA preferredNEBOSH IGC or equivalentProfessional Membership (IOSH, IIRSM)Report writing and data gatheringSelf-motivated and able to work on their own initiativeGood Communication Skills (Strong Command of English)Attention to DetailEnthusiastic and willing to learnExperience in use of Microsoft Office Tools, i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPointMinimum Clearance Required to Start:Not Applicable/NoneParsons is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity in the workplace.
