Main Purpose and Key ResponsibilitiesBefore applying to the job, please note that this role is a temporary contract for 4-6 months.Main Purpose:The Costing Accountant will play a crucial role in developing procedures / controls including costing methodology for analyzing, monitoring, recording and optimizing costs associated with our company's core operations.Key Responsibilities:

Cost Analysis: Conduct comprehensive analyses of production costs, materials, labor, overhead, and other expenses to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.

Developing Controls / Standards: Assist in designing procedures / processes / controls relevant for recording of Cost of Goods Solds in line with costing and accounting standards as applicable to the company. Develop / enhance the costing methodology to bring transparency / consistency in recording / analyse cost.

Cost Control: Implement cost control measures and procedures to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints and achieve cost-efficiency targets.

Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate existing processes and systems to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements to streamline operations and reduce costs.

Reporting: Prepare / design regular reports and presentations on cost performance, variance analysis, and cost-saving initiatives for management review.

Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies related to costing and financial reporting.

Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with departments such as finance, procurement, production, and sales to gather data, share insights, and drive cost optimization initiatives.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Educational qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.Experience:2-4 years of experience in cost accounting of a manufacturing concern.Skills:

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and generate actionable insights.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software applications for data analysis.

Knowledge of cost accounting principles, budgeting, and financial analysis techniques is preferred.

Experience with ERP systems is a plus.
