An International Boys School inQatarthat follows theBritish Curriculumis looking forHead ofSecondary grade levelswho will be responsible for liaising with teachers inthe Secondary department and curriculum development for the programs. Needs to have the ability to teach at different levels of Secondary grades. Develop lesson plans and themes in line with British curriculum objectives. Facilitate learning by establishing a relationship with students and organizing learning resources and the classroom environment.Meeting with teachers, counselors and administrators to resolve any possible behavioural or academic problem. Must also establish clear objectives for all lessons, and projects and attend staff meetingsSkillsBachelor Degree in Education from a recognized University (From the UK preferred)Master Degree or Leadership qualification preferredTEACHING LICENSEFROM ONE OF THE FOLLOWING COUNTRIES: UK, US, CA, AU, NZ, ZA and Scandinavian countries (due to Visa restrictions)Must have excellent English skillsMust have excellent classroom management skills and able to deal effectively with student behaviour issuesRequired Experience:Minimum 5 years teaching experience at a Secondary grade levels (In the UK preferred)Minimum 3 years experience as Head of Secondary Deptor in a similar roleCulturally sensitive, dependable, flexible and able to work in a continuously changing environmentMonthly Salary Range:TAX FREE Monthly salary QAR 20,000 to 25,000 depending on qualifications and experienceHousing:Furnished 1 to 2 bedroom apartment depending on family sizeHealth Insurance Coverage:Medical insurance foremployee and one dependent (spouse or child)Annual Air Tickets:Return air fareforemployee and one nominated dependent (can either be spouse or child)Plus Excess Luggage allowanceof 1000 QAR upon proof of receiptLeave:In addition to official holidays, paid leave is allocated as per academic calendar. Minimum 30 daysDependant School Fees:100% discount on 1 child tuition fee when attending same school as employeeVisa & Medical Check Fees:Resident Visa fees covered by the schoolforemployee onlyEnd Of Service Benefit:One month Basic Salary for each year worked as per country Labour LawContract Period:Open contract period - minimum 1 year renewablePaperwork Requirements:Notarized and Attested academic degrees, teaching certificates, transcripts, marriage and dependent birth certificates. You will be advised of school requirements.Start Date:August 2024
