About therole:As QHSE Officer for HIA Lounges you will be responsible formonitoring quality health safety (both occupational and food) andenvironment to assess risk and identify actions to reduce potentialhazards. You will perform workplace investigations and respond toincident reports within hub lounges. You will ensure compliance tolocal and international QHSE standards. This position provides QHSEguidance to hub lounges and supports the operation in order tomaintain and continually improve the organization safety cultureand performance.Assistin implementing and improvements of QHSE management systemsprocesses and procedures by continuously ensuring efficiency tosupport lounge operations in accordance with QR Group Safety andSecurity Department. Monitor compliance by ensuring standards arein line with local and international regulations (i.e. ISO 22000ISO 9001 ISO 45001 and IENvA etc.)Ensure andconsult best way of food processing preserving packaging storingand delivering/serving. Carry out food samples staff andenvironmental microbiological tests to ensure the safety of foodand food preparation environment and provide consultation whenrequired.Actively participate in the QHSEincident investigations and prepare reports and take requiredactions in consultation withmanagement.Develop facilitate and review QHSErisk assessments by conducting inspection audits evaluation ofreported incidents and corrective action etc. for routine andnonroutine activities to ensure continuous improvement ofstandards.Record QHSE key performanceindicators on a monthly basis and issue reports to the loungemanagement Suggest and advice changes to ensure continuousimprovement on any additional effective KPIs to be added in thesystem as part of continual improvementEnsurethat standard operating procedures are in place and monitoring thatthese standards are consistently followed and maintained withinQatar Airways HIA Lounges as per QHSE internationalstandards.Follows up on the preventive and /or corrective actions identified during the audits / inspectionsand monitors the timely closing of the actions in coordination withother departmentsWork towards getting industrycertifications / re certifications for the department and thecompany in regards to QHSE compile and prepare documents requiredand ensure necessary process is implementedoperationally.Supporting QR Procurement Teamin assessing suppliers quality safety and sustainabilityperformance and specify requirements of raw materials food productsOHS supplies to ensure safe high qualitypurchases.Conduct food safety hygiene OHS andsustainability related briefing for HIA Lounges staff who cancontribute to the level of conformance on a regular basis withassessments to ensure that the intended message iscommunicated.Be part of an extraordinary story:Your skills. Qualifications Qualifications andExperience:An ideal candidate willhave a minimum of High School Qualification / VocationalQualification / Diploma and 4 years of jobrelated experience ORBachelors Degree and 3 years of jobrelatedexperienceEssentialAt least 2 years of jobrelated experience in airlineloungesExperience in handling customer / staffsafety food safety quality relatedincidents.PreferredExperience in Food Safetyindustry or Food Safety ManagementSystemsAuditor Certification in ISO 22000 ISO9001 ISO 45001 or FSSC 22000Experience in IATAEnvironmental AssessmentNEBOSHIGCOther related QHSEcertificatesJob SpecificSkills:Excellentoral and written communication skills for preparing and presentingreports and schedules.Ability to fosterteamwork among team members.Excellentinterpersonal skills for facilitating relationships withdecisionmakers.Creative problemsolving skillsto gather relevant information to solve planningissues.About Qatar Airways Group : Ourstory started with four aircraft.
