Purpose of the jobPrepare and supervise production activities that includes production scheduling, mixing, processing, packaging, palletizing and cleaning in order to produce quality products in the most efficient way in a clean and safe environment.Key Accountabilities:ProductionReview and issue the production schedules, taking into account the operational constraints and equipment capacity.Prepare the factory for production, ensuring all packaging material, raw material and human resources are available.Supervise all production activities, from mixing and processing up to packaging and palletizing, based on the production schedule.Supervise production line/s operation based on the production schedule given to Team Leader in addition to the responsibility for managing the shift schedules. This includes work station assignments/rotations, employee training, employee vacations, employee breaks, overtime assignment, back-up for absent employees and shift rotations in order to have production outputs on time and as per the plan.Identify production bottlenecks and drive actions to eliminate them.Drive actions to achieve site's KPIs and eliminate waste.Prepare production daily shift reports and weekly reports.Responsible to drive problem solving activities in order to resolve performance issues or quality failures.Supervise the daily and weekly machines services as per company's standards, check lists and as per the manuals.Lead daily reviews and ensure all the issues and actions are captured in the SADAFCO Operating System.Escalate non-controlled situations that could potentially lead to losses, downtime, quality failures or accidents.People ManagementManage the availability and efficient use of labor according to the production plan.Control the overtime and ensure that only required staff is available on site.Conduct employee performance reviews.Manage the vacation leave plans following the site rules.Coach, guide and train operators and team leadersHealth & SafetyEnsure a clean and safe working area and any potential risks are communicated for corrective action in order to follow the company's health & safety policy.Ensure all safety systems are working and are not by-passed.Train, direct and raise awareness and ownership among the production staffEnsure safe operating practice where all Health & Safety related policies and procedures are in place and are adhered to. Personally demonstrate the correct safety behaviors. Review all accidents and Near Miss investigations.Participate in safety and quality audits ensuring all non-conformances are documented and action plans completed.Perform shift audits and performance monitors. Actively follow corrective action in order to follow the company's health & safety policyQuality ManagementImplement all quality control and quality assurance procedures, from mixing and UHT up to packaging and palletizing based on SADAFCO standards.Responsible for following the factory's hygiene and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Supervise the site's CIPs, COPs and sterilization procedures.Strictly follow company product quality rules and ensure that all the staff adhere to the specifications and do not deviate from the standards.Drive corrective / preventive actions in order to improve quality levels & eliminate quality failures.Job RequirementsEducational level: Bachelor degree, preferably in food science and technologySpecific diploma/education:Deep food processing understanding, preferably in mixing, UHT processing and aseptic packaging.Minimum experience: 5 Years of relevant experience, preferably in dairy industry.Languages: Fluent in English (speak, read & write), Arabic is a plus.Job CompetenciesBasic understanding of six sigma / lean methodologyAbility to prepare reports & presentations.Good MS office knowledge, basic ERP experience.
