Grade: 5 Location: Riyadh Advert closing: 02/05/2024 Responsibilities Monitor performance, identifying trends and proposing remedial actions to resolve identified problems. Evaluate and provide advice on the provision of support equipment, AGE, publications and facilities. Review proposals for modifications and developing modification and logistical support programmes. Produce draft reports, plans and letters to direct other agencies to resolve problems and implement RSAF policies. Acting as the focal point within the Directorate for all Simulator and Training Devices matters and co-ordinating responses and actions with other specialists as required. Advising and assisting other RSAF departments and specialists as required. Advising on RSAF and contractor manning requirements for operation and maintenance. Create Statement of Requirement (SoR) and Statement of Work (SoW) documents for the procurement of new Simulators and Training Devices and their support as well as for the upgrade and/or relocation of in service equipment. Manage Simulator and Training Devices projects. Perform integration, test and instructional tasks. Perform cost benefit analysis of improvement initiatives. Perform studies and participate in research, development and implementation of programmes to improve safety, reliability and maintainability. Review Vendor/Supplier Specifications, Statements of Work, Engineering Plans and Project Plans for new or modified systems or equipment. Develop Acceptance Test, Handover and Handback Plans and represent the Directorate at acceptance activities. Review and approve (validate) acceptance test specifications and processes to verify performance to specification requirements. Support RSAF officers at meetings and participate in design and programme management reviews. Job Requirements: Responsible to the Engineering Support Manager in the Directorate of Aeronautical Engineering (DoAE) to provide technical advice on matters pertaining to procurement, operation, maintenance and engineering for all RSAF Simulators & Training Devices. An appropriate City & Guilds Certificate or HNC/HND/NVQ equivalent. A minimum of 10 years' experience in the development or maintenance of simulators, training devices or similar computer driven equipment. A good understanding of simulator maintenance concepts, certification standards and qualification procedures. Must be computer literate with the ability to produce a high standard of staff letters, concise briefs, presentations and plans. Ability to communicate effectively at a senior level. Experience at staff level e.g. RSAF Headquarters. (Desirable) Company Industry
