Full Time 27 March - 2024 2:36 pm Description We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated School Improvement Consultant specializing in Kindergarten (KG) and Primary education, with a strong background as an Ofsted Inspector. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of educational practices, curriculum development, assessment techniques, and school leadership strategies. They will play a crucial role in providing expert guidance and support to schools aiming to enhance their educational standards, particularly in the KG and Primary sectors. Responsibilities:
  • Conduct Comprehensive School Evaluations: Utilize expertise in educational standards and Ofsted inspection frameworks to conduct thorough evaluations of KG and Primary schools. Assess areas of strength and weakness, identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop Tailored Improvement Plans: Collaborate with school leadership teams to create bespoke improvement plans based on evaluation findings. Provide actionable recommendations for enhancing teaching practices, curriculum delivery, student assessment, and overall school performance.
  • Deliver Professional Development Workshops: Design and deliver training sessions, workshops, and seminars for school staff, focusing on best practices in KG and Primary education. Provide guidance on effective teaching methodologies, differentiation strategies, and assessment techniques.
  • Offer Ongoing Support and Guidance: Serve as a trusted advisor to school leaders, offering continuous support and guidance throughout the implementation of improvement plans. Monitor progress, provide feedback, and adjust strategies as necessary to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Facilitate Collaborative Learning Communities: Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement within schools by facilitating professional learning communities among teachers and staff. Encourage the sharing of best practices and innovative ideas to drive positive change.
  • Stay Abreast of Educational Trends and Research: Remain up-to-date with the latest developments in KG and Primary education, including curriculum frameworks, assessment models, and pedagogical approaches. Incorporate evidence-based practices into consultancy services to ensure relevance and effectiveness.
  • Provide Expertise in Ofsted Inspections: Leverage firsthand experience as an Ofsted Inspector to offer insights and guidance to schools preparing for inspection. Assist schools in understanding Ofsted requirements, preparing documentation, and implementing effective quality assurance measures.
Qualifications:
  • Proven track record of success as an Ofsted Inspector, with in-depth knowledge of Ofsted inspection frameworks and procedures.
  • Expertise in curriculum development, pedagogy, and assessment practices relevant to KG and Primary education.
  • Strong understanding of school improvement strategies and the ability to develop and implement targeted action plans.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, including the capacity to inspire and motivate others towards shared goals.
  • Relevant qualifications in education, leadership, or a related field (e.g., PGCE, NPQH, MA in Education).
