Job details
Job Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate all deck operations on the rig, ensuring safe and efficient execution of drilling and maintenance activities.
Enforce safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and incidents on the rig. Conduct safety meetings and drills.
Oversee maintenance and repairs of deck equipment, cranes, winches, and other machinery. Ensure equipment is in good working condition.
Assist in drilling operations, including wellbore preparation, casing handling, and pipe running. Collaborate with the drilling team to achieve drilling objectives.
Lead the deck crew in emergency response situations, such as well control incidents or evacuation procedures.
Maintain records of equipment maintenance, safety incidents, and operational activities. Prepare reports as necessary.
Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies related to deck operations and safety.
Maintain clear and effective communication with the rig's management team, other departments, and contractors to coordinate activities.
