Specifically, you wouldbe responsible for performing the following tasks to the higheststandards: • Maximise all Meeting & Events Salesrevenue opportunities through up selling of function items• Closely monitor accounts revenue and business productionfor Wedding accounts • Report to the GC&E Directoron potential markets needing coverage • Meet and welcomesome top key accounts, group organizers and VIP guests uponcheck-in • Take responsibility to conduct hotel inspectionfor all walk-ins, wedding groups • Be visible toorganizers and clients during their event / group dates and monitorguest satisfaction • Regularly review Master A/C postingsto ensure postings are correctly done • Carry outnegotiation for rates with wedding clients and organizers• Review bills with organizers regularly to eliminateadjustments needed on final invoice • Ensure the higheststandards of Event Management are in place including buildingrelationships with new/existing customers in order to securerollover business • Ensure the GC&E Team Membersgenerate a culture of high quality standards for relationshipbuilding, customer service, selling techniques, and billing andprocessing contracts • Build strong relationships withcustomers, Guests and Team Members in order to gain fullunderstanding of their needs and work to serve them effectively• Accurate administration and control of all Meetings andEvents related reservations and blocks • Ensure that allFunction Sheets are handed over the Food and Beverage OperationsTeam every week for the following 7- 10 days outline and that allthe information is accurate, confirmed and billing detailsdocumented and in line with the credit policy • To meet& greet nominated conference contact or organizer to checkon their satisfaction and the set up of the meeting rooms on theday of the event • To conduct Show rounds for companies& agents in line with the Company policy • Tosupport the Food & Beverage operations and roomreservations team with information as required • Ensureall information is relayed to the Chef and Operations Team in atimely manner to ensure they can order and roster effectively• Attend Sales events, as required Additional SalesInvolvement: • Review business plans, identify gaps andensure proactive efforts to fill capacity and meet set targets• Contribute to the selling strategy of the hotel, andmanage the departments' adherence to achieving thatstrategy • To raise invoices for Events in line withquotations and forward them to the accounts departments on a dailybasis with relevant back up documentation to expedite payment• Understand the competitive market place and implementapproaches to ensure the hotel stays ahead in the local market Whatare we looking for?
