Our client is a leadingtechnologysolutions provider offering a comprehensive range ofverticallyintegrated design and manufacturing solutions tailored tomeet ourclient's highly diversified business requirements.We recognise themarket need to be flexible and responsive to meetthe demands of aconstantly changing landscape, focusing on low tomedium volumehigh mix product profiles with localised support. Ourclient issearching for an Electronics Design Engineer who willberesponsible for designing electronic products for a varietyofmajor OEM's. The Role: To Design electronic products foravariety of major OEM's in market sectors includingAutomotive,Clean Energy, Communication & Broadcasting,Consumer,Defence & Aerospace, Homeland Security, IPDevelopment Platforms, Medical, Scientific Research &Space. With thisspread of market sectors you can see that the scopeof projectswill be vast, challenging and interesting. Working withamulti-disciplined engineering team consisting ofMechanical,Electronic, PCB and Software Engineers you will beinvolved inevery aspect of the product lifecycle from initialcontact with thecustomer through quotation, conception and designtomanufacture. The work is rewarding and diverse enablingyou to usethe full scope of your electronic engineering skills andexperience.You will be able to work remotely and wewill supply you the ITequipment as needed so that you can carryout your role. However, wehave an electronics lab located at Lutonin Bedfordshire and youwill need to travel into site when workingon hardware and or toassist with issues asneeded. About you: You will be an experiencedElectronic Design Engineer who has designed products formanufacture,accustomed to working to deadlines and able tocommunicate withcustomers in an eloquent and professional manner.Whilst you willhave a good grounding in embedded systems softwareyour focus willbe hardware. You will be self-managing and highlymotivated with amethodical, analytical approach and a willingnessto work toexisting design ethics andstyle. Ideally adegree (orequivalent) in Electronic Engineering or relateddisciplineExtensive experience of Electronics Hardware Design from conceptthrough toproduction Excellent analytical and problemssolvingskills combined with knowledge and experience of a widerange ofelectronic technologies andproducts. Demonstrable skills in theauthoringof key technical documentation andreports Essential skills& experience: Experience of workingin a relevant commercialdesignenvironment Mixed Analogue and Digital DesignwithMicro-controllers Schematic Capture Highly Developed StructuredApproach toDesign Good technical writing anddocumentationexperience FMEA andproblem-solvingtechniques.
