This is both a strategic andhands-on role at times and key responsibilities include the:Whileconscious of the current challenges to the Community and the tourist economy,the Council remains committed to delivering on key projects for the future.Provision of strategic and operational financialplanning and reporting across all aspects of operations, and acting as ChiefFinancial Officer;Leadership of the Council's long-term plan andannual plan, with on-going monitoring and reporting to management, CE andCouncil;Delivery of effective regulatory services toresidents and businesses in the district;Overseeing of legal services across the council;Development of a risk and compliance culture,embedding strong levels of assurance across all statutory, regulatory, legaland policy compliance requirements.Leading a high performing team of4 direct reports and over 60 team members, this is a high energy environmentfocussed on ensuring activities are service-centric, customer-focused,efficiently run, and represent value for money for ratepayers, meeting theneeds of the community.Aboutthe PersonYou will be a CharteredAccountant holding a senior role, with substantial experience leading teams ina large, complex organisation, requiring strategic impact, financial acumen andmanagement of multiple stakeholder pressures, ideally in a local or centralgovernment environment.
