Responsibilities RESPONSIBILITIES.

  • Perform welding tasks using various techniques, including MIG, TIG, and Stick welding, to join and fabricate metal components according to engineering specifications.
  • Interpret and understand engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols to ensure accurate and precise execution of welding projects.
  • Conduct inspections of welded joints and structures to verify conformance to quality standards and specifications.
  • Operate and maintain welding equipment, including routine inspections, troubleshooting, and performing minor repairs as needed.
  • Collaborate with engineers, fabricators, and other team members to ensure effective communication and successful completion of projects.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to create a safe working environment, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote efficiency and prevent safety hazards.
  • Monitor and control consumables inventory related to welding activities.
  • Participate in training sessions and stay informed about advancements in welding technology and techniques.
Qualifications Experience & Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or vocational training in welding is preferred.
  • Proven experience atleast 3 years as a Welder Level 2 in an oil and gas machine shop or related industry.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Certification in welding techniques such as AWS or equivalent.
  • Proficient in various welding processes, including MIG, TIG, and Stick.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
  • Strong attention to detail and precision in welding tasks.
  • Knowledge of metallurgy, materials, and welding codes and standards relevant to the oil and gas industry.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safety and a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating potential hazards
