Responsibilities RESPONSIBILITIES.

Perform welding tasks using various techniques, including MIG, TIG, and Stick welding, to join and fabricate metal components according to engineering specifications.
Interpret and understand engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols to ensure accurate and precise execution of welding projects.
Conduct inspections of welded joints and structures to verify conformance to quality standards and specifications.
Operate and maintain welding equipment, including routine inspections, troubleshooting, and performing minor repairs as needed.
Collaborate with engineers, fabricators, and other team members to ensure effective communication and successful completion of projects.
Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to create a safe working environment, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote efficiency and prevent safety hazards.
Monitor and control consumables inventory related to welding activities.
Participate in training sessions and stay informed about advancements in welding technology and techniques.

Qualifications Experience & Education

High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or vocational training in welding is preferred.
Proven experience atleast 3 years as a Welder Level 2 in an oil and gas machine shop or related industry.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Certification in welding techniques such as AWS or equivalent.
Proficient in various welding processes, including MIG, TIG, and Stick.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
Strong attention to detail and precision in welding tasks.
Knowledge of metallurgy, materials, and welding codes and standards relevant to the oil and gas industry.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Commitment to safety and a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating potential hazards
