About the Role
With a number of exciting projects starting and the practice growing rapidly, they are seeking a Business Development Director to provide leadership and business development for the practice. You will be expected to improve the practice’s market position and achieve financial growth by generating interest from potential clients and by planning pitches that will convince clients globally to do business with the company, via direct marketing, professional bidding, and social media approach. The Business Development Director will be responsible for overseeing the business development department to maximize the potential of securing new work and exposure.About You
The role of Business Development Director requires an enthusiastic and ambitious individual with a passion for design and the built environment. You should have an extremely proactive personality and be a ‘go-getter’ being able to take opportunities heads on with strong people management skills. You will be an excellent communicator, able to convey key ideas and themes to potential clients, with the ability to remain focused when working under tight deadlines. Your experience in management will be exemplary, leading and mentoring teams and able to plan effective meetings. You will be open to other points of view and a good listener, keeping commitments through honest and consistent behaviour. Education and Training- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture or equivalent experience
- Understand design and all other consultancy operations
- Excellent command of written and spoken English
- Proven knowledge and execution of successful development strategies
- Proven experience managing client relations
- Industry Experience – in architecture, design or construction locally or internationally or reputable practices
- Years worked in Business Development role – minimum 7 years
