Role description and responsibilities

Build Data Lake components:
1. Low code streaming data ingest & integration
2. ETL big data cloud platform
3. Data compute & Machine Learning big data cloud platform
4. Self-service data management platform
5. Data Quality change management and monitoring framework
Build Data access components:
1. BI components with sub-second rollups over petabytes of data
2. Self-service report designer and visualization platform
3. Scalable Cloud Data Services & API
4. Data sharing, Data as a Service, Bring-your-own-key platform
BI & Data Insights:
1. Democratize access to Practice Management and Book Management analytics for financial advisors across large financial institutions and small shops
2. Onboard new third-party data sources to further build investors' 360 data coverage

Experience, competencies, and skills required

Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required; advanced degree is beneficial A minimum of ten years data technology experience 6+ years' experience as a Data Engineer - working with Cloud environments 10+ years of experience working with relational databases, SQL and dimensional modeling 6+ years of experience administering and designing cloud-based data warehousing solutions such as Snowflake or Databricks 6+ years Python experience - focused on Data and distributed processing Strong communications skills

Critical Tech-Skills

DBT, Airflow, Flink, Kafka, Spark, TensorFlow/PyTorch or other ML libraries, MINIO, Immurta Agile Development experience, SDLC Tools, Gitlab, Maven, DevOps, CI/CD – Jenkins Data Governance, Data Lineage, Schema Change Management, Data Hub DevOps: Dockers, Kubernetes, Unix scripting, Terraform, CloudFormation Data-quality Monitoring, Application logging and troubleshooting, Great Expectation Languages: Java, Bash, Trino, Data Science & ML operationalization
