JOB DESCRIPTIONWood is currently looking for Pipeline Integrity Engineer to be based in Abu Dhabi for a permanent staff role.RESPONSIBILITIESThe successful candidate will be responsible with the following;

  • Well experienced in pipeline integrity assessments based on Industry standards.
  • Experience in application of pipeline design codes, i.e., ASME B31.4 & B31.8, DNV, etc.
  • Experience in engineering assessments based on applicable codes (e.g API 579, BS7910, ASME B31G, NG18, Shannon and Kastner assessment methods, DNVRP F101 etc
  • Responsible for data collection and gathering of information of multiple sources for preparation of a study.
  • Accountable for data QA/QC and validation
  • Perform Inspection data review which may include, ILI data, ROV data, CIPS/DCVG data, external inspection data, visual inspection, dig verification, etc.
  • Carry out Pipeline Integrity for all sizes & Lengths of client's pipelines. Equipment assessment is a plus
  • Prepare Integrity assessment reports, which may include, Fitness for Purpose (FFP) / Recommendations for Repair Reports (RRR), Direct Assessment reports and life extension studies
  • Corrosion rate estimation using industry corrosion models (ECE, Norsok, etc). Matching of ILI data to derive the corrosion rate.
  • Sites Visits outside offices as & when required.
  • Good soft skills; primarily presentation skills, communication and collaboration with team in Wood office.
  • Good report writing skills.
  • Occasionally, the candidate may be required to work from a client's office for a period of time depending on the project.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • BSc in engineering or science with a proven working knowledge with oil and gas industry,
  • With minimum of 5 - 7 years' experience
