.Payroll Specialist
Description
Key Result Areas: Oversee end-to-end payroll operations, ensuring accurate, timely processing across multiple payrolls and compliance with all relevant laws, contracts, and policies.Perform and supervise payroll reconciliations, audits, and reporting (monthly, quarterly, and annual), resolving discrepancies and implementing corrective actions.Maintain internal controls and ensure adherence to approved financial procedures and policies.Collaborate with auditors and provide required documentation and insights.Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance payroll efficiency and accuracy.Manage ERP system updates related to payroll, including payer codes, deductions, and benefits.Monitor Qatari employee pensions and social allowances; liaise with the Government Pension Department.Audit purchasing card transactions, process daily cash deposits, and ensure accurate financial postings.Provide guidance on payroll systems and escalate complex issues to the manager.Support departmental and public inquiries, ensuring timely and accurate information delivery.Act as backup for payroll processing and contribute to special projects as assigned.Minimum Knowledge, Skills & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Payroll or Accounting field and 5 - 7 years of relevant full-time work experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.Knowledge and experience in working with accounting software Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office, Microsoft Dynamics and database applications.Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills essential along with concise writing proficiency in a multicultural environment.Highly organized and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously; attention to detail; ability to work quickly and efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines
