Description
The Head Baker is responsible for overseeing the production of all baked goods, ensuring high-quality standards, innovation in recipes, and efficient operations in the bakery department. This role involves managing the bakery team, curating the bakery menu, and ensuring all products are prepared in accordance with food safety and hygiene regulations. The ideal candidate will have a deep passion for baking, strong leadership skills, and experience working in a high-volume kitchen or bakery.THIS JOB IS IN THE UAE (FUJAIRAH). RELOCATION PROVIDED. TAX FREE INCOME.QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE: Proven experience as a Head Baker or Senior Baker in a high-volume kitchen, bakery, or pastry setting.Extensive knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment.Culinary or baking certifications are preferred.Experienced in working as a Private Chef for VVIP clients highly regarded.KEY SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE: Bakery Operations: Oversee the daily production of breads, pastries, cakes, and other baked goods, ensuring consistency in taste, quality, and presentation.Recipe Development: Create and test new recipes, updating the bakery menu regularly to keep offerings fresh, seasonal, and aligned with customer preferences.Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and mentor the bakery staff, ensuring they adhere to established processes, maintain high standards, and continuously develop their skills.Inventory & Ordering: Manage bakery inventory, including raw materials and ingredients, placing orders with suppliers, and ensuring stock is properly stored and used efficiently to reduce waste.Quality Control: Monitor the quality of baked goods, ensuring all products meet the company's standards and are produced on time.Cost Management: Maintain cost-effective operations by controlling ingredient usage, managing waste, and maximizing productivity.Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure that the bakery adheres to all food safety and hygiene regulations, including proper cleaning and sanitation of equipment and workspaces.Customer Satisfaction: Work closely with the front-of-house and management teams to meet customer needs, accommodate special orders, and respond to feedback.Menu Planning: Collaborate with the culinary team and management on seasonal menu changes, special events, and promotions.Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all bakery equipment is well-maintained, scheduling regular maintenance and repairs as needed.SALARY / BENEFITSAccommodation Provided Health Insurance1 economy flight per annum30 days' vacation per annum All meals provided Salary TAX FREE.
