Elevator and Escalator Technician

Secondary School, Intermediate School, Diploma Nationality Any Nationality Any Vacancy Job Description We are seeking a skilled and experienced Elevator and Escalator Maintenance and Installation Technicianwith a minimum of7 years of hands-on experiencein installation, maintenance, and repair of elevators and escalators. The technician will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of vertical transportation systems in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings across Qatar. Performpreventive and corrective maintenanceon elevators, escalators, and moving walkways. Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and electronic malfunctions. Conductdaily inspectionsto ensure equipment is safe, reliable, and compliant with local regulations and manufacturer specifications. Monitor and maintain spare parts inventory and usage logs. Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals. Ensure adherence to Qatar Civil Defense (QCD)safety standards and building codes. Provide prompt responses toemergency breakdownsand ensure minimal downtime. Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and third-party inspectors. Maintain accurate service reports and documentation. Guide and train junior technicians or apprentices if required. Desired Candidate Profile Currently residing in Qatar with transferable visa and NOC. Experience working with multinational elevator brands. Willingness to work on arotational shift , including weekends and public holidays when needed. Qualifications and Skills: Diploma or ITI in Mechanical / Electrical / Mechatronics or related field. Certification fromelevator manufacturers (e.g., Otis, Schindler, KONE, Mitsubishi)is an advantage. Strong knowledge ofcontrol systems , safety circuits, and elevator mechanics. Familiar with international standards (EN 81, ISO) and Qatar-specific codes . Good communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team. Valid Qatar driving licenseis preferred.
