Now, we’re looking for a Senior Accountant who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on construction and engineering environment.Job Purpose: We are looking for a highly motivated, detail-oriented Senior Accountant to take full responsibility for the financial statements of assigned Group companies (UAE and KSA). The candidate will ensure timely and accurate accounting, compliant with IFRS, and all UAE and KSA statutory and regulatory requirements. This role includes direct accountability for external audits, full ownership of the closing process, and preparation of standalone and consolidated financials. The ideal candidate is an expert in month-end closing, hands-on with general ledger processes, and thrives in fast-paced, multi-entity environments with a strong commitment to accuracy and deadlines.Key Responsibilities: 1. Financial Accounting & Transactions Maintain and reconcile the general ledger (GL) for UAE and KSA entities, including payables, receivables, payroll, accruals, prepayments, and fixed assets.Ensure all entries are posted under the correct Business Unit and cost centers.Execute month-end and year-end closings accurately and within strict deadlines.Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual standalone financial statements for UAE and KSA entities, fully aligned with IFRS.Ensure full compliance with local accounting requirements in both UAE and KSA (e.g., corporate tax, VAT, statutory formats).Manage day-to-day accounting operations, resolving discrepancies and ensuring clean books for both internal and external reporting.2. Group Consolidation & Reporting Prepare timely and accurate consolidated financial statements for Spider Access UAE & KSA, applying appropriate consolidation entries and eliminations.Document all consolidation adjustments and intercompany reconciliations.Analyze variances between actual, forecast, and budgeted performance, and prepare financial summaries for senior management.Support the Finance Manager in preparation of divisional P&Ls, trend analysis, and key financial indicators.Coordinate with the KSA finance team to ensure aligned closing procedures and reporting standards.3. Audit, Compliance & External Relations Take full ownership of external audits for all assigned Group entities (UAE and KSA).Coordinate directly with external auditors, preparing schedules, explanations, and addressing audit queries.Ensure audit readiness at all times and timely closure of audit findings.Support tax reporting (VAT and corporate income tax) and ensure full statutory and regulatory compliance in both jurisdictions.4. Financial Controls & Process Improvements Monitor and enhance internal controls and accounting policies.Lead improvements in closing processes to reduce lead times and increase accuracy.Ensure that documentation is robust, compliant, and auditable across all financial areas.5. Team & Cross-Functional Collaboration Supervise and review accounting activities of the KSA finance team.Coordinate with Procurement, Commercial, Treasury, and other teams to resolve financial issues and ensure completeness of financial data.Provide support and guidance to junior accountants if assigned.
