The hotel's beachfront location and open-air facilities are designed to bring a new level of relaxed luxury to the city.About the job Based at the Mandarin Oriental Jumeira Dubai within the In Room Dining Kitchen, the Demi Chef de Partie will carry out and partially supervise operational tasks and duties in the kitchen under the guidance of the respective Senior Chefs, with the overall objective to prepare food in a timely manner as per quality and food safety standards.As a Demi Chef de Partie, you will be responsible for the following duties: Assist the Chef de Partie in daily duties and oversee responsibilities during absence.Wash and peel ingredients for dish production.Ensure all mise en place is prepared to the highest quality as per standards set by superiors.Follow plating guides according to dish descriptions, cooking methods, and presentation images.Organize requisitions and ensure timely pickup and proper storage.Check inventory of ingredients before each shift to maintain stock levels.Store ingredients in dedicated, labeled containers to ensure preservation.Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work surfaces, tools, utensils, and the work area before and after use, in accordance with food safety standards.Adhere to strict personal hygiene standards at all times.Support cleanliness and maintenance of kitchens and stewarding areas, assisting daily checks by supervisors.Follow food safety standards set by Mandarin Oriental Hotel and comply with UAE regulations.Ensure customer satisfaction in line with MOHG Legendary Quality Experiences (LQEs), MOHG Pillars, and MOQA service standards.Work collaboratively as part of the team and assist colleagues as needed.Support other outlets and banquets if requested by superiors.Attend and participate in all scheduled meetings and training sessions.Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by superiors.Qualifications and experience we seek: High School qualification or equivalent.Degree or Higher National Diploma in Hospitality/Culinary arts preferred.Experience as a Demi Chef de Partie in a high-volume hotel or restaurant with high service standards.Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a 5-star or equivalent restaurant.Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.Arabic or additional languages are preferred.Solid experience in food preparation, holding, and cooking.Ability to work long hours with operational excellence focus.Physical ability to move, lift, push, pull, and place objects up to 15 kg without assistance.Our commitment to you Learning & Development: We offer tailored programs to support your career growth.MOstay: Enjoy complimentary nights and attractive rates on rooms for you and your loved ones through our global program.Health & Colleague Wellness: Access to various health benefits and wellness programs to support your wellbeing.We’re Fans.
