About The Job Based at the Mandarin Oriental Jumeira, Dubai within the Tasca Kitchen, the Commis 2 will carry out all required operational tasks and duties in the kitchen under the guidance of the respective Senior Chefs, with the overall objective to prepare food in a timely manner as per quality and food safety standard. Responsibilities include: Washes and peels ingredients for dish preparation. Ensures all mise en place is prepared to high standards. Prepares and replenishes buffets. Assists in requisition pickup and organizes storage. Monitors ingredient stock levels and informs superiors when low. Stores ingredients properly, labelled and preserved. Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of work surfaces and tools. Reports maintenance issues and supports daily checks. Adheres to personal hygiene and food safety standards. Supports customer satisfaction in line with MOHG standards. Works collaboratively with the team and supports other outlets and banquet services. Participates in meetings and training sessions. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications and Experience: High School qualification or equivalent. Degree or Higher National Diploma in Hospitality/Culinary arts preferred. Minimum 1 year of culinary experience in a high-volume environment preferred. Basic food preparation skills. Ability to work long hours with operational focus. Physical ability to lift objects up to 15 kg. Knowledge of kitchen tools and basic food hygiene is preferred. Our Commitment to You Learning & Development programs to support your growth.
