Abu Dhabi Capital Group (ADCG) is one of MENA’s largest institutional investment groups, delivering transformative impact through partnerships across a significant diversified global portfolio spanning multiple asset classes, industries, and geographies.Job Brief: We are currently seeking a highly experienced and motivated Group Head of Tax to join our dynamic team in Abu Dhabi. The Group Head of Tax will support ADCG’s companies, adding value in a multidisciplinary context and providing in-depth expertise and advice on Value Added Tax (VAT), Corporate Income Tax (CIT), and International Tax. Additionally, the role involves managing the implementation of UAE CIT.The Group Head of Tax will be responsible for managing the direct and indirect taxation functions, including ensuring accurate calculations, deductions, deposits, filing of returns, and managing any litigation related to direct or indirect tax. Furthermore, the role includes developing and implementing proactive tax planning strategies and identifying opportunities for tax savings.Key Responsibilities: Ensure compliance with the statutory regulations related to CIT, VAT, and International Taxation.Provide internal tax advisory services and support business operations across the organisation.Project and plan the overall tax obligation for the year in accordance with the business plan.Implement all relevant section policies, processes, and procedures to ensure work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.Develop and implement tax planning strategies to optimize the effective tax rate and cash tax savings.Lead the implementation and ongoing compliance efforts related to OECD BEPS 2.0.Collaborate with legal, finance, and other departments to adapt structures and policies accordingly.Serve as the subject matter expert for international tax matters across the organisation.Create and carry out processes as per the defined Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)Prepare and review tax calculations, estimates, and reports accruals, and purposes.Establish appropriate systems or processes for tax risk management.Act as the key point of contact, providing guidance and support for all the subsidiaries, joint ventures, and review their quarterly/yearly tax returns submission and required supporting documents as part of the tax compliance and tax internal policies.Liaise with tax authorities, respond to queries, provide tax audit support, and manage interactions with statutory, VAT, and internal auditors, as well as external tax authorities and consultants locally and regionally.Review current and deferred tax provisions while keeping abreast of all regulatory changes.Coordinate ad-hoc tax-driven business initiatives locally or regionally Facilitate tax audits, scrutinise all transactions and own the reporting dashboards for management teams, and collate monthly tax reports for all tax purposes.Coordinate and implement ad hoc tax-driven business initiatives locally or regionally.Execute the continuous improvement of systems, processes, and practices, taking into account 'international leading practice' and changes in the business environment, and leveraging insights.
