Purchasing Officer

Job Description: We are looking for a detail-oriented and strategic Purchasing Officer to join our team. The Purchasing Officer will be responsible for evaluating vendors, negotiating contracts, and preparing reports on orders, costs, and performance. This role involves maintaining strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure that merchandise is high quality, cost-effective, and delivered on time.Responsibilities: Research and identify potential vendors to supply goods and services.Compare and evaluate offers from multiple suppliers to identify the best deals.Negotiate terms of agreements and pricing with suppliers to ensure competitive and fair contracts.Track orders and ensure that they are delivered on time.Review the quality of purchased products to ensure they meet company standards.Enter order details, including vendors, quantities, and prices, into internal databases for accurate record-keeping.Maintain up-to-date records of purchased products, delivery information, and invoices.Prepare regular reports on purchases, including detailed cost analyses.Monitor stock levels and initiate orders as required to prevent shortages.Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure proper storage and organization of purchased products.Attend trade shows and exhibitions to keep up with industry trends and new products.Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, or a related field (preferred).Proven experience in a similar purchasing or procurement position.Strong negotiation skills and experience in vendor management.Excellent organizational and communication skills.Ability to analyze data and prepare detailed reports.Familiarity with inventory management and supply chain processes.This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about supply chain management and wants to contribute to the success of the organization by ensuring smooth procurement operations. #J-18808-Ljbffr
