With a strong pipeline of secured projects and investment backing our next phase of growth, we are now seeking a Principal Consultant to help lead and shape the future of our ICT practice.About the Role As a Senior ICT Consultant, you will take the lead on the technical delivery of project workstreams, contribute to stakeholder engagement, and support the development of junior staff through active mentoring and line management. You’ll be responsible for overseeing specific areas of the design process such as structured cabling, wireless, telecoms, or AV while ensuring integration with the wider project. You will work closely with our Principal Consultant and collaborate with architects, MEP engineers, security consultants, and our in-house production department to deliver coordinated, high-quality designs from early-stage planning through to tender and construction.Responsibilities Lead ICT design packages across all project stages, including : Structured cabling, telecoms, and containment layouts Active network infrastructure and Wi-Fi heatmapping Technical space layouts and MEP interface coordination Audio-visual and converged technology systems Design reports, specifications, and technical schedules Coordinate closely with the in-house production department to ensure BIM deliverables are accurate and aligned with the design intent Represent ESSURA in client and consultant meetings to present designs, gather feedback, and provide expert advice Support authority engagement and coordination with telecom service providers to secure NOCs Contribute to the continual improvement of internal design tools, standards, and workflows Line manage ICT Engineers, providing day-to-day oversight, mentoring, and performance support Assist with resource planning and ensure junior team members are delivering to expectations Qualifications Degree in ICT, Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or a related field Minimum 5 years of experience in ICT design consultancy, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead role Demonstrable experience in the GCC, working on multi-disciplinary building projects Broad technical understanding of ICT systems in the built environment, including telecoms, Wi-Fi, AV, and ELV integration Familiarity with international standards (TIA, ISO / IEC) and local authority / NOC requirements Strong communication skills and confidence in external, client-facing engagements Experience delivering coordinated documentation and guiding BIM and drafting production teams Previous experience managing or mentoring junior engineers Required Skills BICSI RCDD or similar industry certification Experience with Ekahau, Visio, Bluebeam, and Revit (coordination level)Understanding of construction HSE practices and experience working on-site Preferred Skills Technically strong and delivery-focused consultant with experience leading ICT design packages across a range of building types Solid grounding in structured cabling, Wi-Fi, telecoms, and converged systems Comfortable working directly with clients and stakeholders, taking ownership of workstreams and managing the quality of design outputs Active role in developing junior team members, sharing knowledge, and helping others grow Clear communication, consistency under pressure, and pride in delivering coordinated, standards-based solutions Why ESSURA?At ESSURA, you’ll play a key role in delivering intelligent, standards-based ICT solutions across some of the region’s most complex and high-profile developments.
