We are a colourful, diverse, professional team and love our friendly, informal culture.Job Description Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the hotel's reservations department, ensuring smooth and efficient processes.Develop and maintain the department schedule to ensure appropriate coverage, minimize call loss, and maximize bookings.Supervise and train reservations staff, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback.Handle complex guest inquiries, resolve issues, and provide solutions to maximize guest satisfaction and revenue.Ensure exceptional customer service by promptly responding to inquiries, requests, and complaints, avoiding loss of business.Collaborate with other hotel departments for seamless guest experiences and effective communication.Maintain positive relationships with guests, travel agents, corporate clients, and stakeholders.Anticipate guest needs and personalize service to enhance their experience.Handle reservation changes, cancellations, and special requests professionally and efficiently.Generate regular reports on reservation statistics, occupancy, and revenue performance.Foster a positive, collaborative work environment within the reservations department.Coordinate with other hotel departments to ensure seamless operations.Conduct regular team meetings to communicate updates, goals, and performance expectations.Conduct annual reviews and recommend employee development plans for department sustainability.Monitor reservation and revenue systems for accurate availability, rates, and inventory across channels.Develop action plans to meet daily, monthly, and yearly KPIs.Complete accurate rooms forecasting for demand and pickup, including groups and transient bookings.Maintain records on market segments, pace numbers, forecasts, and other data.Coordinate rate updates and restrictions reflecting the hotel’s selling strategy.Record competitive set pricing and yield strategies; analyze market opportunities.Ensure timely handling of rate leakages, using Fornova system for resolution.Develop and implement strategies to optimize revenue and occupancy.Analyze market trends, competitor pricing, and demand patterns for informed decisions.Adjust room rates based on market conditions in collaboration with the Cluster Director of Revenue Management.Ensure rate plans are correctly indexed, loaded, and distributed across channels.Use revenue management tools to forecast demand and maximize revenue.Analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.Provide insights and recommendations to management based on data analysis.Evaluate group rates for high-demand exhibitions.Prepare weekly Rev Max meetings and ensure departmental slide completion.Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Finance, or related field.Relevant certification in revenue management (e.g., CHRM) is an advantage.4+ years of experience in revenue management and reservations, preferably in lifestyle or boutique hotels.Strong background in PMS systems.Proven track record of revenue optimization, inventory management, and strategic pricing. #J-18808-Ljbffr
