Senior Heritage/Urban Conservation Manager POSITION: Senior Heritage/Urban Conservation Manager COUNTRY: Rome Headquarters and Abu Dhabi STARTING DATE: asap DURATION: Minimum two years, possible shift in permanent employment, 4 months trial period.GENERAL OBJECTIVE: Urban Planner/Conservation: Team leader/project manager for urban/heritage planning projects in Abu Dhabi and CCG.Project Management: Technical and administrative management of assignment, including guidance and coordination of experts, revision and integration of their outputs, monitoring of budget, resources and time-schedule; administrative management; liaising with Contracting Authorities and stakeholders; organization of field missions, coordination and backstopping support to international experts.Business Development: Elaboration of proposals for international call for tenders (EU, WB, UNESCO, CCG) focused on cultural heritage conservation, architecture, master planning and urban planning, for international donors especially in developing and emerging countries. Identification, liaising and built up collaboration with partners and experts, preparation of the technical methodology for the tenders.QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION: Master Degree in Architecture/Urban Planning. Specialisation in heritage/urban conservation planning is a plus.QUALIFICATIONS: Architect/urban planner with minimum 10 years experience, including at least 5 years of international experience, specific experience as project manager leading team inputs and dealing with clients, in physical planning and master planning, conservation management plan, urban conservation plan, inventory, heritage database, GIS, vulnerability assessment. Previous experience in Middle Eastern countries is a plus, particularly in the Gulf countries. Excellent in structuring and writing reports. Eager to work in an international context, including developing countries, and to undertake long and short missions abroad. Excellent knowledge and use of computer and main software, such as Windows Office, Primavera, Microsoft Project, Arch GIS, Quantum GIS, 2D/3D Auto CAD, Rendering software, Photoshop, etc. Fluent written and spoken English is mandatory.SPECIFIC EXPERIENCE: Self-motivated, independent, proactive and deeply passionate about heritage conservation and consulting practice.
