As a key member of our infrastructure development team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of transportation and urban planning.Job Description: Be Part of a Global Firm Committed to a Sustainable World Senior Resident Engineer (Rail Viaduct/ Creek Crossing & Elevated Stations)Dubai, UAEThis is a challenging opportunity to lead site supervision related to rail/metro viaduct and infrastructure projects. You will direct site teams, coordinate activities with other discipline REs, and ensure consistency and integrity in construction.Responsibilities: Direct site supervision for rail/metro viaduct and infrastructure projects.Coordinate activities with other discipline REs to maintain consistency and integrity in construction.Review shop drawings, design proposals, method statements, and requests for information related to rail viaduct and associated works.Coordinate with Parsons' Design Engineers for resolution of related issues.Maintain the Resident Engineer's daily diary and reports by subordinates.Coordinate with the Contractor on scheduling and resource allocation.Direct, assist, and monitor the performance of the construction team working on rail viaduct work and associated works.Coordinate with Client/PMC, Contractor, and related authorities.Advise on contractual and construction matters regarding viaduct work and associated works.Supervise, review, monitor, and report on progress of works.Liaise with parties for site safety and quality of works.Convene and chair regular site meetings about work-related issues.Ensure prompt exchange of correspondence and approvals.Ensure accuracy and completeness of records.Oversee implementation of safety procedures on the project.Act positively and participate in all health and safety issues at site.Comply with safety, health, and risk management requirements.Provide direction and issue indications with respect to works, utilities, and related activities.Report back to the Construction Director as necessary.Check and measure performed work, record, and display progress vs. programmed work.Ensure NOC processing.Prepare progress reports as applicable.Ensure correctness and completeness of 'as-built' drawings in the area of discipline.Participate in contract administration.Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and minimum twenty (20) years post-graduate experience in design, site supervision, and construction management of major rail viaducts and creek crossings of complex nature.Demonstrable experience in all aspects of civil supervision on major rail and general infrastructure projects preferably in the Gulf region.Chartered Engineer or Professional Engineer (PE) registration or other similar professional organizations preferred.Emphasis on Quality Assurance Specifications and Statistical Quality Control.Ability to review and justify material submissions, analyze laboratory and technical reports, carry out acceptance sampling plans, testing, and quality measures, ensuring compliance with project specifications.Sound knowledge about contractual relationships.Fully computer literate and able to utilize computer technology to access data, maintain records, generate reports, etc., and any project-specific engineering and construction relevant software.Fluent in English and Arabic both written and spoken with excellent capability in written technical skills as well as oral and written communication skills.We are committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
