Requirements GU-Q is seeking a highly organized and resourceful Communications and Support Coordinator to provide comprehensive administrative and operational support to the Office of Communications. Reporting to the Executive Director of Strategic Communications, the successful candidate will ensure efficient coordination across internal and external communications, events, and departmental functions. Key Accountabilities Serve as the first point of contact for faculty, staff, students, and visitors. Provide administrative and operational support to the Office of Communications, including financial and budget management. Assist with content creation, fact checking, and proofreading across communication channels, ensuring accuracy and consistency. Support media relations and marketing initiatives during GU-Q events. Key Activities Manage administrative tasks such as scheduling, calendar synchronization, data entry, workflow tracking, record keeping, and note taking. Maintain content calendars for blog posts, email campaigns, social media, and other marketing initiatives aligned with GU-Q objectives. Assist the Executive Director with confidential HR matters and sensitive initiatives. Prepare reports, presentations, and correspondence as needed. Liaise with the Finance Team to manage financial documentation and ensure compliance. Contribute to budget and expense management, including reporting. Coordinate with vendors and suppliers, and liaise with departments and external stakeholders. Support project-based work and coordinate office setup and maintenance. Assist in managing student workers. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum 3 years of relevant experience supporting departmental operations. Strong understanding of office practices, procedures, record management, and financial principles. Proficient with cloud storage, HRIS, CRM software (e.g., Workday), and digital image processing tools. Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple deadlines. Excellent critical thinking, discretion, and organizational skills. Strong English writing and presentation skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
