About the role As a Senior Sales Assistant within Qatar Duty Free (QDF), you will be responsible for driving sales in specialized high-end categories by ensuring stock availability and merchandising to the required standards. Your goal is to maximize sales opportunities while providing customers with the highest level of service. This is a specialist sales position that requires advanced skills and knowledge to build relationships with customers and effectively sell these categories. Key Accountabilities Include Deliver a personalized experience with commercial success while representing the area professionally and hospitably. Go above and beyond to create a lasting impression of QDF as a 5-star shopping destination. Build long-term relationships with customers to maximize repeat business through consistent service excellence and provide exceptional after-sales service as needed. Acknowledge, approach, and identify customer needs by asking open-ended questions. Present, demonstrate, and sell products by highlighting features, advantages, and benefits. Be aware of sales targets and continuously strive to achieve them by driving KPIs. Introduce customers to other brands or departments after fulfilling their needs, ensuring they leave feeling valued and well-treated. Handle customer complaints or problems professionally and properly as they arise. Maximize sales opportunities through add-on sales, upselling, or substitution. Protect inventory and follow protocols to prevent stock loss. Perform other departmental duties as directed by the Head of Department. Monitor daily sales versus targets and implement strategies to meet goals. Ensure merchandise is displayed according to brand layouts and visual merchandising standards to maximize selling opportunities. Maintain stock display at all times as per guidelines, keeping the area clean and tidy. Store merchandise properly to avoid damage or breakage. Display merchandise to the highest Visual Merchandising standards to attract customers and facilitate sales. A proactive approach to selling. Creativity in generating new business within the store. Effective English communication skills, both written and oral. Strong customer service and interpersonal skills. Ongoing brand-specific sales, merchandising, and product knowledge training. High integrity and professionalism. Adherence to personal hygiene and grooming standards set by QDF. Polite and professional behavior at all times, with high regard for customers. Confidence, friendliness, and approachability.
