Description
Provide individual and group psychotherapy sessions to clients with various mental health concerns, applying evidence-based therapeutic techniques.Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and evaluations for clients, including diagnostic interviews and psychometric testing.Develop and implement personalized treatment plans for clients, setting measurable goals and objectives.Offer clinical supervision and guidance to graduate trainees, ensuring their professional development and adherence to ethical standards.Continuously monitor and evaluate the progress of clients in therapy, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans as required.Provide crisis intervention and support for clients in acute distress or experiencing emergencies.Maintain accurate and confidential client records, including progress notes, treatment plans, and assessment reports, in compliance with legal and ethical standards.Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as psychiatrists, social workers, and nurses, to provide holistic care for clients.Maintain and develop knowledge of the latest developments in clinical psychology through workshops, seminars, and ongoing education.Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance clinical services and maintain accreditation standards.Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.Hold a Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Psychology from an accredited institution.Possess a valid license to practice as a psychologist in the State of Qatar.Have 6-8 years of post-licensure mental health experience in relevant settings such as college counseling centers.Demonstrate strong leadership training and experience.Have experience presenting at international conferences.Experience providing multi-culturally competent individual, couples, and group counseling in a college setting or similar.Experience supervising Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) Associates, or similar professionals.Have strong knowledge of confidentiality and patient-counselor privilege.Exhibit excellent writing skills for reports and communications, with fluency in Arabic and English, and ability to provide bilingual counseling.Proficiency in MS Office applications.Additional Requirements/Skills Work as a clinical psychologist/Psychological Counsellor and educator at CIS Psychology clinic.Provide psychological evaluations and psychotherapy.Offer intermittent supportive teaching in the Masters of Counseling Psychology program.Conduct psychological evaluations for school and university partners.Attend bi-monthly Islamic Psychotherapy trainings and weekly staff meetings.Provide clinical supervision to trainees and junior clinicians.Offer shadowing sessions and onsite crisis management.Guide students and lead supervision groups.Participate in community speaking engagements, training, seminars, and workshops.Lead or coordinate support groups.Complete administrative tasks related to clinical practice, including billing and meetings.Adhere to religious and professional ethics as a Muslim professional.#J-18808-Ljbffr
